BigHit Music recently released a formal statement outlining event guidelines and application criteria, sparking excitement among ARMYs. However, while some were thrilled, others expressed frustration and dissatisfaction with the rules.
Following earlier announcements from BigHit Music restricting entry to an upcoming offline event to those who purchased BTS’s Proof album or other albums through the Weverse Shop within a specific timeframe, fans expressed outrage. Many criticised the company for promoting bulk-buying practices and unethical strategies. In response to the backlash, BigHit Music issued an apology and indicated that entry conditions would be revised.

After receiving a lot of complaints from fans, BigHit Music issued an official statement, saying, “We apologize for the previous unclear notice and our failure to set detailed application criteria in advance. We will revise the criteria to include both those who purchased after the offline event notice was posted on the Weverse Shop detail page and those who had previously purchased albums from the Weverse Shop. We will carefully discuss and announce the detailed plan as soon as possible.”
