The holy festival of brother and sister Raksha Bandhan was celebrated across the country yesterday August 19. Stars of the Bollywood and TV industries shared pictures and beautiful memories related to the festival on this special occasion. Meanwhile, in a recent media interaction, television actors Ankit Gupta, Rutuja Bagwe, Ankit Raizada and Aditi Tripathi shared insights into their celebrations of Raksha Bandhan this year, garnering everyone’s attention. Let’s take a look.
Ankit Gupta, who is currently seen playing the role of Ranvijay in the popular show Maati Se Bandhi Dor on Star Plus, said, “This year I am shooting on the occasion of Raksha Bandhan and if I get a day off or I pack up early, I will celebrate it with my brother, because I do not have a sister and over the years the bond with my brother has become even more special and strong. Being the youngest, I have always received love. One of my sweetest memories of Raksha Bandhan is when my cousins used to tie rakhis with watches; I loved them very much.”
While his co-star Rutuja Bagwe, who plays the role of Vaijanti, shared, “I don’t have a brother, but I have a sister who ties me a rakhi every year. If she gets a day off from work, she comes to the set and celebrates it there. Every year I celebrate Raksha Bandhan with my sister and cousins. I love tying sandalwood rakhis and I always give my sister a gift of her choice. The happiness on her face is something I look forward to and am very happy with. My younger sister shows some aspects that make her feel grown up. I, being the elder one, take care of her like a mother. It is a very special bond that we share and it makes memories for a lifetime.”
On the other hand, actor Ankit Raizada, who plays the role of Aman Singh Rajput in the show Advocate Anjali Awasth, shared that, “This year I am shooting for my show Advocate Anjali Awasthi. If we get a day off, then I will celebrate it with my cousins, because I don’t have a real sister. I just have a real brother. This year Raksha Bandhan is going to be even more special. I will surprise one of my cousins by giving her a jersey, which she wanted for a long time and I will finally gift her because she is a football player. It is all these little joys that we live for and celebrate these moments.”
Actress Aditi Tripathi, who essays the character of Deepika in the show Dil Ko Tumse Pyaar Hua, said, “The festival of Raksha Bandhan is always very special for sisters. They not only get promises of protection from their brothers but also get lots of gifts and I want him to gift me too. I can’t wait to see what he has brought for me. Like every year, I will celebrate this festival with my brother and every year my bond with him is getting stronger. We are like Tom and Jerry. Even if we fight, we cannot stay away from each other. With every new day, we learn something new from each other and I am very happy to have a brother like him in my life. These are memories that I will always cherish.”
