Arvind Kejriwal's oath taking ceremony, World Cup match or planning a romantic date? Delhiites don't know what to do on Valentine's Day
It is February 14 today! And the specialty of Valentine's Day is unexplainable, in fact thousand words are not even enough to describe it when love is in the air.

It is February 14 today! And the specialty of Valentine's Day is unexplainable, in fact thousand words are not even enough to describe it when love is in the air.

But fortunately or unfortunately today it isn't the day of love. Apart from Valentine's Day, it is also a very important day as Arvind Kejriwal will take the pledge as Delhi Chief Minister, the day marks the beginning of the World Cup 2015 series, and the Delhi World Book Fair 2015 has also commenced today (i.e. on February 14).

You people must be thinking that why we said that it's fortunate or unfortunate for too many things happening on February 14 this time. Well just imagine if you are on a date with your partner or lover, watching the latest release 'Roy' in theatre or having a romantic lunch with him/her and realize that your partner is much more interested in watching the World Cup match or the oath taking ceremony of Kejriwal rather than watching movie or going out on a book fair with you... then how will you feel?

Moreover it might also be a trivial day for those people who will not be able to spend special moment with someone special, as they will be covering the events like oath taking ceremony, World Cup match and Book Fair for their viewers.

This 14 February has too many options to the people and has made few go completely baffled of what to do on this day. A Delhi University student Aman Kapoor shares his thought and says: "I know it is Valentine's Day and well aware of the importance it carries. But the World Cup series has begun. And Kejriwal is also taking his oath as Delhi CM. I want to do everything to make it a memorable day, but how can I skip the match?"

Similarly Achint Uniyal, a Law student is as bemused as Aman and says, that "This is really confusing. Valentine's Day is as important as World Cup match. What should I do? I'm a bit scared of preferring the latter."

What an irony - girlfriend or wife is near but wants to see the match, watching match or covering CM's oath but loved one's are not near. Strange isn't? That's how life is. But such situations are always not the same. This day can be a fortunate one for those - who are able to make their way out. Few people had different perspectives to make this day an unforgettable one for themselves as well as for their partners.

"I have an off on Valentine's Day. Because there are two exciting matches on February 14, and my boyfriend loves cricket, I have booked a romantic venue where the match will also be aired. So problem solved!" This is what Anushree Singh, the Senior Sub-Editor, News Desk, IBNlive has planned.

While few are ready to cancel their plans on this promising day and ready to adjust if in case their beau wants to watch the match. An HR professional Parmita Ashraf says: "Since my beau is addicted to cricket, I know it will be a task to step out. I will have to cancel my plans of celebrating Valentine's Day if we can't step out for a romantic lunch. Same is what another working women, Shomini. She says, "I have office in the morning, might have to go and cover some event. Since it's Saturday, it's my husband's off and we might go somewhere in the evening, may be to the book fair if we get time, and if the world cup match lasts till late evening then I don't mind sitting at home as I have celebrated Valentine's Day mostly with my friends."

While some others say that what if they are not able to spend quality time with their beaus, everyday is Valentine's Day and job is also at utmost priority.

"I will be in office on February 14. Moreover Kejriwal's oath taking is going to consume part of my time. I believe we don't need one day to celebrate love. Every day is Valentine's Day, says Manila Venugopal, the Chief Sub Editor, News Desk, IBNlive.

Media professional Jaspreet Singh Sahni also shares the same view. "World Cup is job. I am more interested in Kejriwal than Valentine's Day. Every day is Valentine's Day; want to fall in love every day with a new person. But duty comes first. While we have one eye on Kejriwal, our fingers will be busy punching the scores and updating the live match for our viewers."

Well some are confused, some are sorted. One thing is for sure - this Valentine's Day can definitely create a chaos between one's job, true love and craze for cricket or books. So it's better to find a way out before you mess this amazing day.

What's your reaction?
