Bollywood actor Arjun Kapoor took to his Instagram feed to celebrate a significant milestone in his career – the completion of 12 years since his debut film, Ishaqzaade, hit the screens. The film also marked the Bollywood debut of Parineeti Chopra. Sharing a video featuring some of the film’s iconic dialogues, Arjun reminisced about the journey of rebellion, romance, and passion that unfolded onscreen. In the heartfelt accompanying post, he wrote, “12 years of rebellion, 12 years of romance, 12 years of passion, 12 years of cherished memories, 12 years of Parma & Zoya’s love story… It’s been 12 years of #Ishaqzaade.”

Ishaqzaade is a romantic thriller film written and directed by Habib Faisal and produced by Aditya Chopra under the renowned Yash Raj Films banner. Featuring the dynamic duo of Arjun Kapoor and Parineeti Chopra in lead roles, the film also boasted a talented supporting cast including Gauahar Khan, Natasha Rastogi, Anil Rastogi and Shashank Khaitan. The film was released on 11 May 2012.
The movie received glowing reviews from critics, who particularly lauded Parineeti’s standout performance. Moreover, it proved to be a resounding success at the box office, cementing its status as a commercial hit.
At the prestigious 58th Filmfare Awards, Ishaqzaade garnered three nominations, including Best Actress for Parineeti and Best Male Debut for Arjun. Additionally, Parineeti received the National Film Award – Special Mention at the 60th National Film Awards for her performance in the film.
Arjun Kapoor recently teased fans with his upcoming role in Singham Again, by sharing his menace ‘Singham ka villain (Singham’s villain)’ avatar on Instagram. Expressing his excitement to be a part of Rohit Shetty’s cop universe, Arjun promised fans an exhilarating ride filled with mayhem.
“Singham ka villain! Feeling on top of the world being a part of hit-machine Rohit Shetty sir’s cop universe! I promise you there will be mayhem #SinghamAgain,” he wrote.

In one striking photo, he’s seen covered in blood, wielding a cleaver with a wicked grin, while other features him alongside Ranveer Singh, who reprises his role as Simmba from Shetty’s 2018 blockbuster.
Meanwhile, Parineeti has been making waves with her performance in an Imtiaz Ali-directed biographical drama centred around the life of musician Amar Singh Chamkila. She is seen playing the role of Amarjot, Chamkila’s second wife, opposite Diljit Dosanjh in the titular role.
