Akshay Kumar's Production House Scammed by Fake Casting Agent; Mumbai Police Arrest Alleged Conman: Report
Akshay Kumar's Production house fell victim to an alleged scam purported by a fraudulent casting agent.

Akshay Kumar is currently celebrating the release of the recent film ‘Bade Miyan Chote Miyan’ alongside Tiger Shroff. However, amidst the excitement, a surprising incident caught headlines as the actor’s production house fell victim to a fraudulent casting agent. Reports state that the alleged conman was apprehended by the Mumbai Police.

According to ANI, a man was arrested by Mumbai’s Juhu police station for attempting to deceive Akshay Kumar’s production house, Cape of Good Films, by offering a job to social media influencer Pooja Anandani as part of a scheme to defraud her.

The arrested suspect, identified as Prince Kumar Sinha, is 29 years old. Pooja managed to thwart the fraud attempt by promptly informing the police. The Juhu police revealed that the perpetrator, posing as Rohan Mehra, a supposed employee of Akshay Kumar’s production house, allured Pooja with fake job opportunities and a fake film project related to the Nirbhaya case, arranging a meeting in Juhu.

Their initial meeting occurred at a local coffee shop, where ‘Rohan’ requested Pooja to pose for photographs taken by a bogus photographer claiming to be associated with Amitabh Bachchan. Their subsequent meeting was arranged at the JW Marriott Hotel in Juhu, where police intervened and arrested Prince during the setup.

Further information provided by Juhu Police on April 3 indicated that the accused, presented as Rohan Mehra, falsely identified himself as a Cape of Good Films employee. An investigation confirmed that no such person was employed by the production house. Upon discovering the fraud, Pooja immediately reported the incident to the production house, prompting a complaint to the Juhu police station and resulting in the culprit’s arrest.

An ongoing investigation is in progress, with authorities advising the public to be cautious and verify the legitimacy of employment offers to prevent falling prey to such fraudulent schemes.
