Akshay Kumar was recently seen meeting Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath in Lucknow. Pictures of the meet between the two are doing rounds on social media. Akshay, who is supposed to start filming his next movie Ram Setu in Uttar Pradesh,had a general meeting with the CM on Thursday, March 18.

The actor, who is playing the role of an archaeologist in the film, was on his way to Ayodhya, where Ram Setuwill be shot. Akshay even shared a post on Instagram informing, “Today on the launch of the film ‘Ram Setu’ in Shri Ayodhya ji, received the blessings of Lord Shri Ram. Hail Lord Ram!”
Akshay, along with the film’s co-stars Jacqueline Fernandez and Nushrratt Bharucha, have reached Ayodhya. The actor posted a photo of himself with the ladies sitting on the steps of a plane informing the beginning of the journey. He asked his fans for their special wishes as the film is an important one.
Ram Setu will be directed by Abhishek Sharma who has also directed some films including Parmanuand Tere Bin Laden.
The actor has few other movies in the pipeline. Rohit Shetty directed Sooryavanshiis set to release on April 30, 2021. Akshay plays the role of cop in the cop franchise. He shared the trailer of the film back in 2020, which got postponed due to COVID-19. But the ‘Police is Back’ this time. Sooryavanshi stars'list includes Akshay along withKatrina Kaif, Javed Jaffrey, and Gulshan Grover. Singham actor, Ajay Devgan and Simmba star Ranveer Singh will also make special appearances in the film.
Other films of the actor including Bell Bottom, Raksha Bandhan and Bachchan Pandey are in the works.
