There is a great deal of excitement surrounding the theatrical release of Lal Salaam which stars superstar Rajinikanth, coming Friday. Aishwarya Rajinikanth’s film is a sports drama with a cricket theme. Rajinikanth makes an extended cameo, while Vikranth and Vishnu Vishal spearhead the film. Following its debut on February 6, the trailer garnered positive feedback from viewers.
Now, Lal Salaam has received a U/A certification from the Central Board of Film Certification. Aishwarya Rajinikanth shared a movie poster with a cricket ball on it and announced that the movie received a U/A rating.

The movie is reportedly scheduled to run for about two hours and thirty-two minutes. The film tackles a delicate subject with a subliminal societal message while centring on the promotion of religious unity. Meanwhile, Kuwait has reportedly banned the release of Lal Salaam in the country. Kuwait has a history of banning Indian films which touch upon sensitive religious issues or what the country perceives to be hurting Islamic sentiments. Fans know that Rajinikanth plays a Muslim character named Moideen Bhai in the movie.
Aishwariya Rajinanth’s ex-husband Dhanush has also extended his best wishes to the Lal Salaam team and attached the trailer of the film along with his post. This shows the mutual respect the former couple have for each other.

Lal Salaam also has Vignesh, Livingston, Senthil, Jeevitha, KS Ravikumar and Thambi Ramaiah in supporting roles with cricketing legend Kapil Dev also appearing in a cameo. Music composer AR Rahman and editor Pravin Baaskar contribute to the film’s technical crew.
The last movie Rajinikanth appeared in was Jailer, directed by Nelson Dilipkumar. He is now working on his next movie Vettaiyan, directed by TJ Gnanavel of Jai Bhim fame. The previous name for it was Thalaivar 170. Amitabh Bachchan, Fahadh Faasil, Rana Daggubati, Manju Warrier, Ritika Singh, and Dushara Vijayan are among the film’s impressive cast members. In addition, he is working with filmmaker Lokesh Kanagaraj on Thalaivar 171.
