During the 70s and 80s, actress Reena Roy was one of the popular figures in Bollywood. She is known for her films like Zaroorat, Jaise Ko Taisa, Zakhmee, Kalicharan, Nagin, Apnapan, Jaani Dushman, Naseeb and others. At the peak of her career, this famous Bollywood actress took a decision which changed her life. The actress has maintained a distance from the film industry. She is now 67 years old.

Reena Roy was a famous actress of the 70s-80s, whose films used to dominate the box office after their release. She debuted with the film Zaroorat in 1972. It was directed by BR Ishara. If reports are to be believed, when Reena Roy entered the industry, she fell in love with actor Shatrughan Sinha. Their love story garnered headlines at that time. Then after dating each other for 7 years, the couple broke up.

As per reports, Shatrughan Sinha married Poonam Sinha without informing Reena Roy, which shocked the actress. After the breakup with the actor, Pakistan’s star batsman of that era Mohsin Khan entered Reena’s life. The duo dated each other for a considerable time before getting married.

Reena and Mohsin tied the knot in the year 1983. After marriage, the actress relocated to Pakistan. The couple was blessed with a daughter named Jannat. However, with time, the marital relationship started to take a toll on the actress’s head. Reena was not able to connect herself with Mohsin’s flamboyant lifestyle, as per reports. They got divorced in 1992.

After the divorce, Reena returned to India, but the custody of the child remained with Mohsin. Her alleged ex-boyfriend Shatrughan Sinha played a big role in getting Reena custody of her child.

After gaining custody of her child, she first changed her daughter’s name from Jannat to Sanam. The failed marriage made the actress never believe in love again. She refused to get married again and has remained single since then. The actress distanced herself from Bollywood and started living an anonymous life. If reports are to be believed, Reena Roy now runs acting classes in Mumbai along with her daughter Sanam.
