When Is Ganesh Chaturthi? Know Auspicious Time To Bring Home The Ganpati Idol
You have more than two and a half hours for setting up the idol and performing Ganesh Puja this year.

The 10-day Ganesh festival begins with Ganesh Chaturthi and ends all over India on Anant Chaturdashi, that is, Bhadrapada Shukla Chaturdashi date. On the day of Ganesh Chaturthi, people bring the Ganesh idol into their homes and worship him. Tirupati-based Astrologer Dr Krishna Kumar Bhargava clarifies whether Ganesh Chaturthi is on September 6 or September 7 this year and the auspicious time for bringing the idol home. According to the panchang, for the correct date of Ganesh Chaturthi, the Chaturthi Tithi of Shukla Paksha of Bhadrapada must be there at the time of sunrise. Ganesh Chaturthi is celebrated on the day during the Chaturthi period of sunrise. Based on this, this year, Bhadrapada Shukla Chaturthi Tithi will be from 03:01 am on September 6 to 05:37 am on September 7.

On September 6, Chaturthi Tithi starts in the afternoon, so Ganesh Chaturthi is not celebrated on this day. On September 7, the sun rises at 06:02 am. So based on Udaya Tithi, Ganesh Chaturthi is celebrated on September 7. On this day, fasting is observed and a Ganesh idol will be set up at home. The correct date for Ganesh Chaturthi this year is September 7.

If you want to install Ganpati Bappa at your home on Ganesh Chaturthi this year too, then you have more than two and a half hours for setting up the idol and performing Ganesh Puja. The auspicious time for Ganesh Chaturthi Puja on September 7 is from 11:03 am to 1:34 pm.

On Ganesh Chaturthi, you should bring the idol in Abhijit Muhurta. This is considered a good time for ghat and idol installation. Abhijit Muhurta is from 11:54 am to 12:44 pm on this day.

This year, Ganesh Chaturthi Puja is performed in Ravi and Brahma Yoga. On the day of Chaturthi, Ravi Yoga is from 6:02 am to 12:34 pm while Brahma Yoga is from morning to 11:17 pm.

Ganesh Chaturthi of Bhadrapada falls on the day of Ganesh Chaturthi. You should not look at the moon on this day. If you do, you may be falsely accused. Even Lord Krishna was falsely accused of stealing a gemstone.
