Phulera Dooj 2024: Rituals To Follow For Lord Krishna And Radha's Blessings
On Phulera Dooj, followers of Lord Krishna decorate Radha-Krishna with flowers in their houses and play Holi with flowers in Krishna temples.

In the Braj region, Phulera Dooj holds great significance, particularly in Mathura and Vrindavan. In the Hindu calendar month of Phagun, Phulera Dooj falls on Shukla Paksha Dwitiya. The festival is celebrated in the days between Vasant Panchami and Holi.

This year, Phulera Dooj will be celebrated on March 12. Owing to the timing, Lord Krishna temples organise a special Darshan that shows God getting ready for the impending Holi. Phulera Dooj, according to astrology, is a day that is devoid of any flaws or Dosha. For this reason, on the day of Phulera Dooj, no muhurat is required for any auspicious work, particularly marriage rituals.

On this day, followers of Shri Krishna decorate Radha Krishna with flowers in their houses and play Holi with flowers in Lord Krishna temples. Various kinds of flowers are presented to Goddess Radha and Lord Krishna on this day. It is thought that one receives blessings from Lord Krishna and Radha on this day by worshipping them. Bhopal resident astrologer and Vastu consultant Pandit Hitendra Kumar Sharma has shared things that are auspicious to do on the day of Phulera Dooj.

Offer Gulal

Gulal should be specially offered to Radha Krishna during the puja on the day of Phulera Dooj. It is believed that offering gulal to Krishna and Radha Rani on this day brings happiness to the house.

Offer Flowers

Offering flowers to Lord Krishna and Radha on the day of Phulera Dooj averts life’s troubles. Special care should be taken to ensure that the flowers offered should be fresh.

Offer Makeup Items to Radha

People who want success in love or those who are troubled by troubles in marital life should offer make-up items to Radha on this day. Doing so will remove the problems in one’s marital or love life.
