While they all shine bright in the traditional attire, there’s one timeless actress who stands out among the rest. We’re talking about Shilpa Shetty, known for her impeccable sense of style, especially when it comes to draping a saree. This time, it was her choice of the gold tissue saree at Rakul Preet Singh and Jackky Bhagnani’s wedding in Goa that stole the limelight.
Styled by Meagan Concessio, Shilpa’s saree was a masterpiece by Arpita Mehta, featuring a stunning combination of gold tissue and sequinned georgette. The pallu and front of the saree were crafted from the luxurious gold tissue fabric, while the sequinned georgette skirt added a touch of glamour.
The border of the saree was adorned with intricate mirror work, a signature of Arpita Mehta’s designs inspired by the rich craftsmanship of Gujarat and Rajasthan.
To complement her saree, Shilpa opted for a sleeveless blouse with sleek straps, heavily embellished with mirror work and embroidery. The plunging neckline of the blouse added a modern twist to the traditional attire, accentuating Shilpa’s well-toned figure. This half-and-half saree look not only made a bold statement but was also a practical choice for a destination wedding, offering ease of movement and styling.
For accessories, Shilpa chose to accessorise her outfit with golden mules from the Arpita Mehta x SKO collection, adding a touch of sophistication to her ensemble.
She also adorned herself with statement jewellery from Maya Sanghavi Jewels, including a diamond-encrusted layered choker, diamond stud earrings, a stylish serpent bracelet, and statement diamond rings. Completing her look was a mirrorwork embellished potli bag from The Pink Potli, adding a touch of tradition to her modern outfit.
Shilpa’s hairstyle and makeup perfectly complemented her overall look. Her hair was styled into a low, well-tied ponytail with a dramatic back-combed puff, adding volume and elegance. Her makeup was subtle yet radiant, with a matte base, smudged brown eyeshadow, black mascara, blush, and a shimmery highlighter, accentuating her features. The finishing touch was an orange-nude lipstick, which added a pop of colour to her look.
