Italian hairdresser Rossano Ferretti, who has celebrity clients like Jennifer Lawrence, Reese Witherspoon, Uma Thurman and Kylie Minogue, finds Indian women to be quite experimental with their looks.
"I have amazing Indian women coming to my salon from all over the world. I don't agree with this sentence at all that Indian women are hestitant of experimenting with their looks," Ferretti, whose salons are spread across places like New York, London, Paris and Milan, told IANS in an interaction here on Wednesday.
He feels the hairdressing industry at large needs to be educated and made aware about new trends, and not so much about the "Indian girl" being experimental or not.
He says his aim is not to make business out of his profession, but to educate people about hairdressing.
"The mission is to educate people and not just inform them. What we do is, we train our hairdresser and then they teach people. But if someone wants to know about it on a bigger scale, I wish to open a school one day for the people to become better hairdressers."
"But it won't be a business school or profitable centre. I will do it if the government will help me or people will help me," added Ferretti, who was here to launch Rossano Ferreti Spa at The Zehen at the Manor here, in association with Sanghvi Brands.
Ferretti has founded more than 20 salons around the globe, experiencing vigorous expansion and growth. He brings his customized vision to hairdressing, and considers that his salon is a sensory experience for his clients.
Commenting on the launch, Darpan Sandhvi, Managing director, Sanghvi Brands, said: "As one of the world's most exclusive and expensive hairdressers, the launch of Rossano Ferretti Hairspa truly brings the best of international hairdressing for the discerning residents of New Delhi."
