Ever dreamt of owning Sabyasachi attire? Ever dreamt of wearing a Sabyasachi on your big day? If yes, then these photos of Anushka Sharma and Virat Kohli dressed in Sabyasachi ensembles will seem to you as a moment from a dream.
There's absolutely no one as eloquent and as graceful as a Sabyasachi couple. And Anushka Sharma-Virat Kohli's wedding look is a testimony to that.
The actor, who has held the baton for the designer's creations on several occasions, chose an exquisite tailor-made creation from the designer's boutique. Glittering in an intricate pale pink lehenga, Anushka looked drop-dead gorgeous as she turned bride for the Indian skipper Virat Kohli.
Today we have promised each other to be bound in love forever. We are truly blessed to share the news with you. This beautiful day will be made more special with the love and support of our family of fans & well-wishers. Thank you for being such an important part of our journey. pic.twitter.com/Scobdiqk7l— Anushka Sharma (@AnushkaSharma) December 11, 2017
Sharing a photograph of Anushka, Sabyasachi wrote on Instagram, "Meet Anushka Sharma @anushkasharma, a Sabyasachi bride."
The lehenga was adorned with "Renaissance embroidery in vintage English colours embellished with silver-gold metal thread, pearls and beads."
She made sure to keep her look classy with only minimalist makeup and a handcrafted jewellery set with uncut diamonds, pale pink spinel and baroque Japanese cultured pearls from the designer's collection.
The designer also shared that the choice of colour came in with the thought that it had to blend in with the whimsical Tuscan surrounding and not stand out. He also pointed out that it took over 67 karigars, 32 days to complete the ensemble.
The groom attire for the beloved cricketer Virat Kohli was also designed by Sabyasachi. Virat opted for an ivory raw silk sherwani hand-embroidered in a vintage Benarasi pattern.
Both the bride and groom looked ethereal as they performed the wedding nuptials as per Hindu rituals in the Italian city of Tuscany.
