In 2013, Abhishek Matoria of BJP emerged victorious in this seat beating Rajendra of INC by a margin of 26,951 votes which was 14.41% of the total votes polled in the constituency. BJP had a vote share of 51.69% in the seat.

In the 2008 elections, Abhishek Matoria of BJP won this seat beating Suchitra Arya of INC by a margin of 10,277 votes which was 6.71% of the total votes polled in the constituency. INC had a vote share of 37.21% in the seat.
