KOCHI: Chief Minister Oommen Chandy has said the Women’s Code Bill 2011 will be implemented only after holding talks with all sections of society. “I have received the draft Bill. A final decision on the implementation of the Bill will be taken only after discussing it with all concerned,” he told reporters here. The draft of the Bill prepared by a committee headed by former Supreme Court Judge V R Krishna Iyer was submitted on Saturday to the Chief Minister. The draft Bill had recommended provisions for imprisonment for fathering a third child. In the 94-page report, the committee suggested the adoption of family planning and birth control as a secular policy of population regulation in the state.
