HYDERABAD: Telangana leader and Nagarkurnool MLA Nagam Janardhan Reddy, who has been suspended from the Telugu Desam recently, has accused the Congress and TDP of entering into ‘match-fixing’ on the Telangana issue. Talking with reporters at the Assembly Media Point on Thursday along with Pargi TDP MLA K Harishwar Reddy and others, Janaradhan Reddy criticised Union home minister P Chidambaram for asked the Congress and TDP public representatives to first settle the Telangana issue with their respective party leaders Sonia Gandhi and N Chandrababu Naidu before seeking the central government’s decision on the statehood issue, and said it smacked of deceit. The TDP rebel leaders warned that they would not allow Naidu’s ‘games’ in Telangana region and launch an action programme against the Congress and its leadership if it failed to take a decision on the statehood demand. Seemandhra Congress leaders’ decision of going to Delhi with the United Andhra Pradesh demand and appointment of party in-charges in the Assembly constituencies in Telangana were part of the suggestions contained in Chapter 8 of Srikrishna Committee’s report, and were intended to blackmail those demanding separate state, Reddy said and warned the ruling party and the main opposition party against playing  dirty games in the region. Replying to a query, Nagam said that Naidu was in ‘fear’ and did not dare to suspend other TDP MLAs supporting him (Nagam).
