SANGAREDDY: Villagers of Mansanpalli in Andhole mandal thrashed a thief to death on Saturday night. According to police, Kishtaiah (25), along with three others, all belonging to Rallapadu in Andhole mandal, went to burgle the houses of Golla Narayana and Golla Tuljaram in Mansanpalli on Saturday night.Carrying an axe and some keys, they tried to open the doors of the houses which led to some sounds and the owners of the houses raised an alarm. Soon their neighbours too woke up and came out of their houses making the burglars take to their heels.The villagers chased them but could catch only Kishtaiah. They dragged him to the village junction, tied him to a pole and beat him badly all through the night. However, he withstood the thrashing till Sunday morning. On information, police reached the place after 10 a.m. and untied the ropes when Kishtaiah collapsed dead. Jogipet police registered a case and began investigation. The body was shifted to Jogipet police station for postmortem.
