HYDERABAD: The special court for CBI cases on Friday reserved its orders on the bail petition filed by V Vijay Sai Reddy, accused in the YS Jagan Mohan Reddy assets case. The orders will be given on March 19.Vijay Sai Reddy's counsel argued that Section 409 (criminal breach of trust) did not apply to his client as he was not a public servant and he can not be kept in judicial custody for more than 60 days. CBI just thought and believed that Vijay Sai Reddy would tamper with the investigation and had no substantial ground to oppose bail for him, he said.“I don't want to talk about politics. I (Vijay Sai Reddy) am targeted because I make a statement so that someone else can be hauled into the court. If I say something, Accused No 1 can be picked up. Everyone is aware of the disqualifications and elections in the state. That is politics. One can't shut his eyes to that,'' Vijay Sai Reddy said through his counsel.Vijay Sai Reddy's counsel also argued that there was no way his client would tamper with the investigation. “The figures and names can't be changed. They are in public domain. They are not investigating against a missing person in a lake in Rajasthan. This case is completely on documents,'' the counsel said and added that as to why the investigating agency was not arresting ministers or commissioners who had passed the GOs favouring the companies.Orders on Sunil Reddy,Ranga Rao PleasThe special court of CBI cases on Friday heard the arguments on the bail petition of N Sunil Reddy, an accused in the Emaar scam.
