Vedic schools to undergo a makeover

TIRUMALA: In an attempt to fix the controversies surrounding Veda Patasala at Tirumala, executive officer LV Subramanyam on Thursday announced that the administration will soon be refurbished and additional facilities including a transit vigilance post and a police outpost will be set up at Vedapatasala, Dharmagiri, 6 km away from the Tirumala.In a brief interaction with the media here on Thursday, he said the administration has decided to provide residential facility to teachers to ensure that teachers are available for students even after school hours.School timings, class schedule and teaching methodology will be changed.Moral studies will be introduced as extra curricular activity, sources said."The entire structure will be changed before the commencement of the new academic year", Subramanyam said.In the evening, he visited Tharigonda Vengamamba Samadhi. The TTD will take over the premises and develop the surroundings of the Samadhi, the executive officer said.
