Van-car collision claims 2

TIRUPUR: Two persons were killed while seven others severely hurt after a van collided head-on with a car, near Vellakovil on Monday.Police sources said, Balu alias Balukumar (41) of Kumaravalasu, Vellakovil, who ran a hotel, was proceeding to Muthur by car, when the incident occurred. His wife Latha, father Periyasamy (60) and relative Nagarathinam also accompanied him. Near the Thanneer Pandal bus stop on the Vellakovil-Muthur Road, a speeding van rammed their car, killing Periyasamy and Balu.  Latha, Nagarathinam and five other passengers of the van sustained injuries.
