New Delhi: BJP leader Uma Bharati is clarifying her stand saying that reports on her complaint letter against RSS leader Suresh Soni were exaggerated.
In a move that clearly shows she is toning down her rhetoric, Uma Bharati stated that she had not used any non-parliamentary language.
?It is a false propaganda against me. The language of the letter is very balanced and the points touched upon in the letter are very important and none of the points require to be kept confidential,?said she.
She also said that the letter was sent in national interest, people's welfare and in the interest the RSS and BJP workers. It was not targeted against anybody in particular.
Angry at being thwarted in her efforts to reclaim power in Madhya Pradesh, Bharati had hit out at Soni.
In a four-page letter, addressed to RSS chief KS Sudarshan on October 9, Bharati blamed Soni of gross prejudice against her and ruining her chances of making a comeback to state politics.
She criticised BJP for the fact that no decision could be taken by the party without RSS approval.
She also attacked the party vice-president Venkaiah Naidu and general secretary Sanjay Joshi for coming between her and the MP chief minister chair.
She is understood to have even given details of party meetings to substantiate her charge.
The BJP and the RSS are upset that internal party matters are being discussed via the media.
The charge and the language of the letter has created uncertainties in the RSS and the BJP about Bharati?s early return as Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister or her appointment to any key organisational post.
The three-day Executive of the RSS begins in Chitrakoot from October 21 and the Uma controversy is certain to be discussed in the context of the internal battles within the BJP.
