New Delhi: India-Uganda relations are expected to receive a fresh impetus with the visit of the east African nation's Foreign Minister Sam Kutesa who arrives in New Delhi later on Sunday, an official said.
"During the visit (July 27-31), Kutesa will hold talks with External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj and pay a courtesy call on Prime Minister Narendra Modi," said a statement from the ministry of external affairs.
"The visit of Kutesa will give a new impetus to further progress of India-Uganda relations," it added.
India is Uganda's largest trade partner and Uganda has a large population of Indian origin who make significant contribution to its economy and society. India and Uganda also cooperate closely in capacity building fields, including human resource development, said the statement.
