HYDERABAD: An assistant sub-inspector of Railway Protection Force and a Government Railway Police headconstable were arrested on Thursday for extorting money from a passenger at the Secunderabad station.According to police, a finance businessman from Nizamabad, Suresh Goud, came to the city in Ajanta Express on Wednesday. He was carrying a cash of `16.44 lakh with him. Suresh Goud got down from the train and was walking on platform no 10 when the ASI of RPF G V Panikkar and GRP headconstable Christopher approached him. The policemen asked Suresh Goud to show his bag as they want to search his baggage and found the huge amount of cash, police said.The duo told Suresh Goud he was carrying the money illegally and forcibly took away `44,000 from him.
