Two held for burglary at Sanjay Dutt's ancestral house
The theft happened when the family was in Mumbai for TADA court verdict.

New Delhi: While actor Sanjay Dutt’s extended family from Haryana was in Mumbai for the TADA court verdict in 1993 Mumbai blasts case, the family’s ancestral house located in Yamunanagar district was burgled.

On Sunday, Haryana police arrested two youths suspected to be behind the burglary at the house that belongs to Dutt’s uncle Som Dutt. Sultan and Ranjit Lucky, carried a police award Rs 50,000 each on their heads, were arrested after the Crime Branch made several raids at their hideouts.

The duo was produced in the court of Chief Judicial Magistrate Pradeep Kumar and was remanded to police custody for three days.

The Dutts own farmland in the village and nearly Rs 6 lakh was robbed from the house in cash and jewellery.

Three of Sultan and Lucky's associates were arrested earlier and the gang was allegedly involved in a number of cases of attempt to murder and robbing petrol pumps, shops and flour mills in Karnal, Kurukshetra, Kaithal and Yamunanagar districts, police said.
