Kalva Gallemma (78) and E Venkati (70) of Dulikatta village in Eligaid mandal suffering from stomach ache and vomitings since Tuesday died while undergoing treatment at Karimnagarcivil hospital on Wednesday. District medical and health officer K Nageswar Rao along with a team of health officials rushed to the village to provide medical aid.‘’We are distributing chlorine tablets door to door. The municipal corporation has also been asked to ensure supply of pure drinking water as people were effected after consuming water from local tanks,’’ Nageswar Raosaid. However, he did not confirm whether the deaths were due to diarrhoea. It can’t be surely said that the deaths were due to diarrhoea as Venkati was a chronic alcoholic and Gallemma had hypertension.
