Truck runs over labourer

BANGALORE: A labourer was killed after a truck ran over him in Panattur on Vartur Link Road on Wednesday. The deceased, Muniswamappa, a resident of Balagera, was a daily wage worker in Vartur.According to the police, around 2.30 pm Muniswamappa was returning home on his bicycle from Vartur. A speeding truck hit him from behind and ran over him. He sustained severe head injuries and was rushed to Vaidehi Hospital, where he succumbed to injuries.Whitefield traffic police have registered a case and are searching for the truck  driver, who fled after the accident.
