Trio makes a noble gesture

KOCHI: Three young friends, who had come to Kochi to spend their evening on Sunday, turned Good Samaritans as they handed over a purse containing Rs 1,500 in cash and three sovereigns of gold to its owner, who lost it at Penta Menaka in the city.
The incident occurred when Santhosh hailing from Adoor and his wife, who had come to the city for shopping on Sunday, lost their purse at the shopping mall in the city. The three friends Santhosh Joseph, Ajith Chacko and Rafeeq, who found the unclaimed purse immediately alerted the police and handied it over to the Central Police Station.Police said that the couple were contacted and the purse was handed over to them in the presence of the police.
