CHENNAI: Next time you want to obtain the Tamil Nadu Pollution Control Board’s Consent to Operate, you don’t have to troop all the way to their office to get the required form. The pollution watchdog on Wednesday launched a section that would facilitate the preparation of the forms online. The facility was inaugurated by Minister for Environment and Backward Classes TKM Chinnayya.“Soon after we formed the government, our honourable Chief Minister had placed an accent on industrialisation and its development. So, when these new facilities come up, this online application will be of great help,” said Chinnayya.It is to be noted though, that the application cannot be submitted online. But TNPCB Chairman Rameshram Mishra noted that the online system would be allowed to settle and streamline, before it is expanded.
