New Delhi: Socialite Bina Ramani was granted bail by a city court on Friday.
Ramani is a key witness in the Jessica Lall murder case and is accused of cheating-cum-forgery case.
Additional Chief Metropolitan Magistrate (ACMM) Kamini Lau enlarged Ramani on bail on furnishing a local surety and a personal bond of Rs two lakh.
The ACMM also asked her to surrender the passport and to report to the Investigating Officer of the case on first Saturday of every month.
During the arguments, the prosecution informed the court that she has also been made an accused for destroying evidence in the Jessica Lall murder case, which was registered on March 6 this year.
Reacting to Bina Ramani's bail, daughter Malini said, "I am very relieved. It's about time she gets out. We will battle this out".
Bina Ramani on the other hand believes Tihar was a learning experience.
"I'm happy to be back. Tihar was a learning experience. I met several soul sisters in Tihar Jail who have been unjustly treated like me. I am planning to write a book," she said.
