Deputy Chief Minister K S Eshwarappa claimed that the things in Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) are back to normal as all problems have been settled. He was addressing the BJP Yuva Morcha state executive committee meeting
here on Sunday. Eshwarappa, who is also the party state president said that the confusion in the party has been sorted out two weeks ago and the government is now functioning normally.
“A few legislators and a couple of ministers, who were giving confusing statements about the party and
the government to please a few persons have been warned. They had agreed to obey the party’s orders. They will be put in proper place if they restart giving embarrassing statements,” the minister said. He said that the party had come out of its bad time and at this juncture will never tolerate any acts of indiscipline by the partymen. He
hinted that such legislators and ministers will not be given tickets to contest in the next general elections. Eshwarappa reiterated that the party had made a great mistake by allowing others’ to join the party to
ensure numbers and a strong government. He held the party workers equally responsible for problems in the
party. “You did not suggest the right and worthy candidates and did not work properly in all the assembly segments in the last election,” he said. Eshwarappa rated Karnataka as the second in the nation in developmental
works. He claimed that all the basic facilities have been provided in all the Dalit localities in the state in the BJP
regime. The Congress and JD(S) never cared for providing facilities to these localities, he alleged. The seers of various mutts fighting for the cause of various backward communities have come together now.
This is one of the major achievements of the BJP government in the state, he said. Turning nostalgic, Eshwarappa recalled that he was an ABVP activist and Yuva Morcha member several years ago. “I never thought that the
BJP would come to power in the state and I will become the president of the party and the Dy CM in a BJP government,” he said. He called upon the partymen to work responsibly if they want to become good leaders in the future.
Earlier, Eshwarappa inaugurated a Yatri Nivas on the Pant Maharaj Mutt premises.
