Tantrum over food is a usual morning sight in every house where there are children. If kids had their own way, they would prefer to keep gorging on junk foods like pizzas, chocolates and ice creams alone. Half-eaten lunch boxes are a heart ache to every mother, and most of them have a tough time coming up with ideas to make food both appealing and healthy for their little ones.

Colour and presentation matter, while cooking food for children. And if mothers could use a little knack and imagination, they can very well camouflage healthy ingredients like sprouted greens and salads in lip smacking recipes.

The main thing is to make the lunch box appealing. Culinary expert in the city, Anita Isaac who runs cooking classes by the name ‘Manna’ at Palarivattom suggests three healthy but delectable dishes for children.
