THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Shashi Tharoor MP, has said that the library system in the country should be re-designed to cater to the needs of new-generation users considering the present impact of internet and other social media technologies on learning and life. Tharoor was speaking after inaugurating the three-day national seminar on ‘Content management and libraries’, organised by the Kerala Library Association at Padmam auditorium here on Thursday. Mayor K Chandrika released the souvenir of the seminar. M P Tapaswi, head, Knowledge Resource Centre, National institute of Oceanography, also spoke at the seminar.
