HYDERABAD: A 29-year-old techie, with the help of her boyfriend, hatched a conspiracy to eliminate her husband as he knew about their affair. According to police, she offered Rs 20 lakh supari to a gang to get her husband killed.Police on Thursday arrested five persons involved in the murder. They included the techie, A Vasantha, her lover, Chaitanya, and a gang of three members -- T Satish, K Krishna and Rajkumar. Police also recovered some lethal weapons from them.The victim, a lecturer at a GRE / TOEFL coaching institute located in Shamirpet police station limits, gained knowledge about his wife’s illegal affair and she planned to kill him.On April 11 night, when the victim, A Srinivas Kumar, was returning to his home in Jeedimetla the gang members attacked him with weapons on Upparapally main road and he died on the spot. A day after the incident, police registered a case and began investigation.“During investigation, it was found that the victim’s wife had an illegal affair and that she gave Rs 15,000 advance to the gang for killing Srinivas,” said P Kasi Reddy, inspector, Shamirpet.
