Techie attacked by wife with knife over dispute

HYDERABAD: A software engineer, Tirumal Rao, employed with Genpact, suffered injuries after he was attacked by his wife over family disputes at LB Nagar on Sunday. Rao married Pragnya, an employee of AP Transco, a year ago, after a love affair with her.Few days back, Rao had a quarrel with his wife and left to his parents’ house at Alkapuri and was staying there. Police said Pragnya came to Tirumal’s parents’ house today and picked up a quarrel with him. In a fit of rage, Pragnya picked up a knife lying on the table and initially threatened to kill herself. Later, she threatened to kill Tirumal and attacked him.Tirumal’s father, Rama Rao, who tried to come to the rescue of his son also suffered injuries. Both of them suffered injuries and are being treated.Police registered a case against Pragnya and are investigating.
