TIRUPATI: A day after Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy dared loyalists of YSR Congress chief YS Jagan Mohan Reddy to either fall in line or bow out of the Congress, TDP chief N Chandrababu Naidu issued a similar warning to his partymen owing allegiance to the Kadapa strong-man.At a meeting with party leaders, including constituency incharges, MLAs and MPs here on Friday, Naidu directed them to identify the “black sheep” and prepare a list so that action could be taken against them. The former chief minister, sources said, made it clear that Jagan loyalists could quit the party if they so wanted. It is learnt that the TDP chief is gearing up to crack the whip on the “rebels” after listing them out.Naidu, who had detailed discussions with his party leaders on the ways and means of rejuvenating the TDP in his home district, Chittoor, advised them not to worry about Jagan’s party. He prophesied that YSR Congress will soon disappear as the party was thriving solely on the ill-gotten wealth of the late YS Rajasekhara Reddy.“Further, the Centre and the State are keen on preventing the YSR Congress from gaining ground and have stepped up their attack on Jagan Mohan Reddy,” he reportedly pointed out.Carrying on from his speech at the recently-concluded Mahanadu, Naidu told his colleagues: “I have changed completely. I want you to follow suit in the interests of the party and the people of the State.” He exhorted them to shed their egos and work together. The TDP chief also did not mince words when he talked about his son Lokesh. Ordering his party leaders not to drag his son into unnecessary controversies, he curtly told them the party leadership will take care of the issue of appointing incharges to constituencies, including Chandragiri and Tirupati.
