Tamil job aspirants beaten up in Andhra Pradesh
Police arrest seven people after two of the assaulted students filed an FIR.

Hyderabad: After Maharashtra the outsider versus local row and preference to the son of the soil in job recruitment is spreading to other states as well.

Several technical institute students from Tamil Nadu were assaulted in Hyderabad on Friday while waiting to be interviewed for jobs at the Bharat Heavy Electrical Ltd recruitment centre at Ramachandrapuram near Hyderabad.

The aspirants were allegedly beaten up by local aspirants and students.

"We were all sitting in a restaurant when some people came and started shouting in Telugu. We asked them to speak in English but they refused and said that because we were there so they were getting ignored. Then they started beating us," claimed a job aspirant from Chennai, Vel Murugan.

Hyderabad Police have arrested seven people after two of the assaulted students filed an FIR.

In Maharashtra, the Shiv Sena and the Maharashtra Navnirman Sena have been targeting students and job aspirants from North India particularly Uttar Pradesh and Bihar.

Both the parties claim that people have Uttar Pradesh and Bihar have taken up jobs in the state at the expense of the Marathi manoos.
