New Delhi: India's Somdev Devvarman will take on Izak Van Der Merwe of South Africa on Friday in the first singles match of the Davis Cup tie between the two countries in Johannesburg.
Rohan Bopanna will take to the court in the second singles against Rik De Voest.
Bopanna will also double up with Mahesh Bhupathi to take on against Weslie Moodie and Jeff Coetzee on Saturday.
In the reverse singles Devvarman will face De Voest while BOpanna will take on Van Der Merwe.
The draw for the Davis Cup tie between India and South Africa was held in Johannesburg on Thursday.
The tie is India's second chance in the last two years to make it to the elite World Group in a decade.
India did not play the previous tie at home after their opponents Australia pulled out citing security concerns.
India are going into the tie against South Africa without the talismanic Leander Paes whose injury will take a few weeks to heal.
South Africa has beaten India both the times the teams have faced each other.
The tie will be played at the Ellis Park Indoor Arena (old Standard Bank Arena).
