Kolkata: Siddhartha Das, who claims to be Sheena Bora's father, reached Khar Police Station in Mumbai on Thursday evening after he went missing from his house in Kolkata. Indrani Mukherjea, her husband Peter, her former husband Sanjeev Khanna and driver Shyam Rai are being quizzed at Khar Police Station in the Sheena Bora murder case.
Mumbai Police had questioned Das at his residence in Kolkata in connection with the alleged murder of Sheena by her mother Indrani Mukherjea, former step-father Sanjeev Khanna and Shyam Rai.
On Wednesday, Das was interrogated for the first time in the mysterious murder case of Sheena. According to Dum Dum police station officers, three Mumbai Police personnel went to Das's residence on northern fringes of the city at around 8 PM and questioned him for about one and half hours about his relationship with Indrani, Sheena, Mikhail Bora and about the reasons behind his "separation" with Indrani.
The police quizzed Das on whether his separation with Indrani was mutual and whether there were any legal documents confirming the separation, the officers said.
Das was asked whether he had any contacts with Indrani, Sheena or Mikhail after the separation and whether he ever visited Indrani's parents after parting ways with her, they said.
Das had claimed that both Sheena and Mikhail are his children. "I met Indrani in 1986 and she left me in 1989 and after that she never met me. Sheena was born in 1987 and Mikhail in 1988. I last spoke to Sheena when she was in class 10."
Das's claim were earlier corroborated by his brother Santanu who had claimed that Sheena was Siddartha's daughter. He said, "Sheena is my brother Siddartha Das' daughter with Indrani Mukherjea. Yes, I met Sheena and Indrani around 1989 when Sheena was 6 months old. I have not met Mikhail."
Though Sheena, the daughter of high-profile media professional Indrani Mukerjea, was allegedly murdered in 2012 and her body disposed of in Raigad district, the crime came to light only recently.
