SHRC issues notice to DC, top cop

BANGALORE:  State Human Rights Commission issued a notice to Deputy Commissioner, Bangalore Urban district, and Bangalore Commissioner of Police, to send a report on the parents of an abandoned new born at St Marthas Hospital. On March 5, hospital officials had written to the Ulsoor Gate police, requesting them to trace Madhura Y K, who gave birth to two male twins and abandoned one baby, which had congenial defects. After the police could not find her, SHRC issued a notice to ensure the custody of the new born baby to some public or private organisation with accountability and send a report in two weeks.
