HYDERABAD: Textiles Minister P Shanker Rao has asked the CBI, which is probing the wealth of Kadapa MP YS Jagan Mohan Reddy and Emaar Properties irregularities, to expand the probe to cover the ministers, advisers and officials who had worked during YS Rajasekhara Reddy's rule.He also wanted the CBI to constitute a special investigation team to probe the case in a time-bound manner. In the coming days Raheja's case would also come up for investigation, he said.Releasing a copy of the letter he had written to CBI director AP Singh at a press conference at the CLP office here on Sunday, the minister alleged that Jagan had amassed wealth when his father was chief minister. The CBI probe, under the supervision of the High Court, should be completed at the earliest to do justice to the case by taking action against the guilty involved in cases. Besides, the probe should cover all the areas and period till date i.e. on the date of delivery of High Court judgement on August 10, 2011, he said.Meanwhile, PCC president Botcha Satyanarayana, major industries minister in the YSR cabinet and transport minister now, supported Shankar Rao's plea to the CBI. Ministers were collectively responsible for decisions taken at cabinet meetings but in case of any behind-the-screen decisions only the ministers concerned should take the responsibility, he said.Shankar Rao, in his letter, said that Jagan in his counter affidavit in the above cases, had testified that "any probe against him should also cover 75 percent of the ministerial colleagues of his father YS Rajasekhara Reddy. Therefore, the probe and investigation has to cover the above aspect in the greater interest of the public.
