Operation Sukoon may have some way to go, as another 10,000 Indians still need to be brought home.

New Delhi: At least 375 people have died in Lebanon so far, most of them civilians. Over 700 others have been wounded.

In Israel, the total death toll reaches 39, which include 17 civilians and 22 soldiers. According to the Israeli Defence Forces, more than 300 civilians and 60 soldiers have been wounded.

About 850 evacuees have reached India safely after two chartered Air India flights arrived from Cyprus early Tuesday morning. One flight landed in New Delhi and the other in Chennai

More than 70 per cent of the passengers in the Delhi flight were labourers and factory workers from Punjab. There was also a sizable contingent of Sri Lankans and Nepalis.

This takes the total rescue tally to 1600.

But Operation Sukoon may have some way to go, as another 10,000 Indians still need to be brought home.
