BANGALORE: Glenn Eisenberg, executive vice-president (Finance & Admin) of The Timken Company Canton, Ohio, USA on Monday inaugurated the new building which has been constructed for the Government Model Primay School at Hebbagodi.Bangalore Round Table 7 (RTI) with an aim to provide good education to the deprived students populace in the vicinity of Hebbagodi, has constructed the new building with all basic amenities to the school at free of cost.Speaking on the occasion, Eisenberg said, “The Timken Company is happy to help the RTI in constructing school building to the government school, which has been providing education to a large number of students." The Timken Foundation of Canton USA have donated an amount of $48500/ (`22,30,000) to Round Table India for FTE projects. The building was constructed at a cost of ` 30 lakh and has four classrooms.Prasshanth Shah, chairman BRT7, lauded The Timken Company for financially assisting RTI in constructing the school building with all amenities.The rooms are provided with structural RCC slabs. And, the building has two new toilet blocks.The bhoomi puja for this school project was held on September 23.RTI, LCI and Timken Foundation (USA) have jointly built the building for the school under the ambitious Freedom Through Education programme.Round Table India and Ladies Circle India are continuously engaged in community projects that are for the greater good and for the less fortunate. They recently conducted their annual artificial limb donation programme at Bhagwan Mahaveer Jain Hospital.Present on the occasion were Sunil Bhatia (Area VI Chairman), Vikram Talreja (Project Convener AREA VI & BRT7) and others, including several national and area board members of Round Table India and Ladies Circle India.
