Security woes in Bihar jails
Two days after the CPI Maoists set over 350 prisoners free, security has yet to be beefed up in Bihar jails.

Aurangabad (Bihar): Sunday night's Naxalite jailbreak in Jehanabad reflects Bihar's pathetic state of law and order.

However, two days after the CPI Maoists killed 11 Ranvir Sena actvists and set over 350 prisoners free, nothing seems to have changed.

Our correspondent Prabhakar Kumar visited the Aurangabad Jail and discovered that security still remains lax.

The attitude of jailers who did not stop or check the reporters was nothing short of laidback. The police did not seem to mind the camera.

When questioned, the policeman on guard justified the lapse saying, "We let you in because you are a reporter otherwise you would have had to go through some serious security."

The cameraman and the reporter walked out through a rear gate in the jail into the streets of Aurangabad without being inspected or questioned.

The next stop was the Jehanabad jail where except for the fact that the prisoners are in a state of shock, no security measures seem to have been implemented.

Everything seems to be just the same both for the inmates and the men in Khaki.

What's your reaction?
