HYDERABAD: Trunk-loads of documents and hard disks containing crucial information continued to be transported to the office of the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) as several teams of agency personnel continued their searches of premises, many reportedly bogus, figuring in the cases relating to Kadapa MP YS Jagan Mohan Reddy and the Emaar scam.Ironically, when the ‘Anna Hazare mood’ was prevalent across the state with people glued to TV to hear the anti-corruption crusader speak, Jagan supporters took to the streets, raising slogans against his "victimisation’’ by the Congress high command. As on Thursday, the searches began early in the morning and went on till late in the evening as the sleuths drove from one office to another, focussed on their job of seizing documents that will be scrutinised later and presented in court as evidence. The raids are likely to continue for at least a week what with the CBI naming 74 individuals and companies as accused in the Jagan wealth case and 52 in the Emaar case. The target set by the CBI is to cover about 190 locations and wind up the process of seizures within a week.It was around 8 am when CBI teams got into Innovas and drove out of the Dilkusha guest house, where they have been camping for the last couple of days. Before the start of the operation, CBI DSP M A Khan briefed them on how each team should go about its job.Armed with laptops to transfer data, the teams were divided into a technical team, another team comprising those having knowledge of finance and accounting, another that takes possession of documents. The teams fanned out to different places and searched the Polepalli SEZ in Mahabubnagar district, Harita Fertilizers in Nalgonda, Hetero Drugs in Jadcherla and some premises in Khammam district. In Hyderabad, the teams searched Aurobindo Pharma, Vanpic, Navabharat Ventures, Bharati Infotech, Penna Cements, RR Global Enterprises and the Nimmagadda Foundation."Searches are continuing and we have collected several documents. Based on the information received from the seized documents, we will continue with the searches,’’ CBI joint director V V Lakshminarayana told reporters, emerging from the Vanpic office on Road No 2, Banjara Hills where he spent most part of the day. This because there were five companies of Vanpic located in one complex, Meenakshi Banjara Ville: Matrix Enport, Vanic Ports Pvt Limited, Vanpic Projects Pvt Limited, Vanpic Shipyard Private Limited and Grafix Engineering Consultants Private Limited. The CBI seized several hard disks and documents from Aurobindo Pharma and Vanpic.
