New Delhi: Eight students of Delhi Public School (DPS) were injured, two seriously, when their van overturned after being hit by a minitruck in Kashmere Gate area on Saturday morning.
The van was carrying 12 students of DPS, Mathura Road. ''When the van was taking a U-turn near ISBT, a Tata 407 coming from the opposite direction collided with it. As a result, the van overturned,'' a senior police official told UNI.
The minitruck was running at a high speed after breaking the traffic signal, he added and informed that its driver was absconding.
The injured have been admitted to the trauma centre of the All India
Institute of Medical Sciences. Further details were awaited.
