New Delhi: The twists and turns in the Oil-for-Food scandal just won’t end. Jagat Singh, an alleged beneficiary of the scam, has conducted a sting operation that shows him talking to Andaleeb Sehgal, another accused, and his lawyer.
The CD shows Sehgal alleging that he was coerced to make statements against Jagat.
Jagat, son of suspended Congress leader Natwar Singh, claims the conversation in the CD exonerates him and his father. “There has been a concerted effort by the ED (Enforcement Directorate) to implicate us at any cost. I think it (the CD) proves that quite clearly,” he said.
Sehgal refused to comment, but the CD raises more questions than it answers and it puts a huge question mark on the investigation conducted by the enforcement directorate.
