BANGALORE: Refuting the Opposition parties’ charges that he and his family members were involved in illegal mining in Bellary, Tourism Minister G Janardhan Reddy expressed confidence that the truth will come out when the Supreme Court, which is investigating into the case, pronounces its verdict.Addressing newsmen after launching a programme to promote archery, a sports event at village level, at the Vidhana Soudha premises here on Wednesday, Reddy said that the survey of all 99 mines in Bellary district as ordered by the Supreme Court was almost over and a report would be submitted by the concerned authorities.He added that apprehensions on his involvement in the issue too would end.On the issue of the group of ministers decision to oppose the Union government’s proposal to nominate 10 natural heritage sites in Western Ghats to UNESCO’s list of world heritage sites, the minister said that he would hold talks with Forest Minister C H Vijayashankar and make his stand on the issue known.He added that the the tourism department’s much hyped ‘Heli-tourism’ project was delayed owing to onset of monsoon. “An MoU has been signed by the state with Oasis company on the proposal,” the minister said.
