In an effort to gain maximum number of seats in Lok Sabha polls slated to be held next year, Samajawdi Party will be fielding its candidates in others states too.
"The SP is emerging stronger with acceptance of its policies in other states.
The party has decided to contest in other states too besides UP," party spokesman Rajendra Chowdhury told reporters in Lucknow.
He said that party supremo Mulayam Singh Yadav had visited Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, Rajasthan and Madhya Pradesh to strengthen party organisation there and now Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav would be visiting Jharkhand for the same purpose.
"People of the country are eyeing at strong third front and increase in Samajwadi Party's strength will make the front stronger," the spokesman added.
