Salesman shot dead

NUAGAON(SUNDARGARH): Members of a criminal gang, People’s Liberation Front of India (PLFI), on Thursday evening shot dead Mukesh Sahu, a salesman of a fuel filling station at bordering Nuagaon area under Hathibari police limits.The murder was the result of non-payment of extortion. The PLFI has been active in Nuagaon block along the Odisha-Jharkhand border in extortion business.As per reports, the criminals arrived on a motor-cycle at a roadside petrol pump at Nuagaon around 7.30 pm and shot the salesman dead.Sundargarh SP Sanjeev Arora said three persons reached the fuel station on a motorcycle and after the crime fled towards Saranda forest. However, the SP refrained from linking the assailants to PLFI and said verification was underway.
