Safety major challenge in India

BANGALORE: The Fire and Safety Authority of India (FSAI) president N S Narendra on Friday said that it is necessary to build a strong alliance between industry experts and equipment manufacturers to improve fire protection facilities in the Indian industry.At the conference on ‘Engineering a Safe & Secure India’ organised by the FSAI here, Narendra said, “Safety and security is a major challenge in India.With escalating urban development and population, the problem has also increased manifold.Infrastructure protection is a major concern for policy makers, corporate leaders, and developers.”
